Boy, is there a lot coming up!
Ten of our Italian visitors arrive at Dulles late on Thursday, October 5.
Three more arrive on Friday, October 6.
Here’s a brief overview of activities. Many are ALL-MEMBER EVENTS, which means that all members are invited to come and make merry!
We will create an all-member RSVP list to try to estimate the number of attendees.
October 5, 6, 7, 8: Set aside for hosts and visitors to become acquainted and enjoy small group activities, such as the Trolley Tour, small dinner gatherings, overview of downtown, and other Fredericksburg orientation things.
Monday, October 9: ALL MEMBER EVENT.
6 PM – 8:30 PM
Downtown Fredericksburg Library Theater.
Welcome Reception and Official Ceremony
Italian City Council Representative Massimo Trevisan and
Mayor Mary Catherine Greenlaw to exchange greetings, gifts.
Italian visitors recognized.
FREE for all Este members!

Tuesday, October 10. DC Day for Italian visitors and Host Committee chaperones.
Wednesday, October 11. ALL MEMBER EVENT.
5 pm. Tapa Rio for tapas dinner and drinks.
Este will host our visitors and their Fredericksburg hosts.
Other members are welcome to come and join: This is a self-pay event, so other members can enjoy the casual atmosphere and get to know our Italian visitors.

Pizza Palooza! 5-9 PM
Hurkamp Park
All hands on deck!
This is our big, signature event, this year in the bigger, more open venue of Hurkamp Park! Music by Acoustic Onion—Beatles covers and good ol’ rock ‘n roll. We need lots of volunteers from early afternoon to the late evening—for set up, event service, and clean up!

CANOVA SCULPTURE TRIP TO NATIONAL GALLERY OF ART
On September 6, we visited the National Gallery of Art to see the wonderful exhibit featuring the sculptural stages of the 19th Century artist Antonio Canova. We rented a van, were treated to an absolutely fascinating talk about Canova by the NGA’s top lecturer, and then had an hour or so to wander the NGA. Thanks so much to Odile Pryor, our program director, for discovering and producing this wonderful trip. It was amazing!
