Ferragosto is a public holiday celebrated on 15 August throughout Italy. It originates from Feriae Augusti, the festival of Emperor Augustus, who made August 1st a day of rest after weeks of hard work in the agricultural sector.

The 7th Annual Sister Potluck was a success, hosted by the Fredericksubrg Este Association. Here is the video of the prestentation and some photos of the evening. On April 26, 2025, the Fredericksburg Concert Band, in conjunction with the Fredericksburg Sister Cities, presented "Globetrotters" that included music from all five Sister Cities. It was a wonderful evening of various cultures, adventure, and, for many, remembering music from one's homeland. A delightful performance!
